Euan Shields joins the Sun Valley Music Festival as Associate Conductor for its 2026 summer season, one of the most respected classical music festivals in the United States.
Now in its 42nd year, the festival runs July 27 to August 20 in Sun Valley, Idaho. It draws principal players and musicians from leading North American orchestras for a month of orchestral performances — and offers free admission, making the programming broadly accessible.
As Associate Conductor, Shields will conduct Ravel’s Rapsodie espagnole and Thomas Adès’s Inferno from Dante, alongside supporting orchestral performances throughout the season. The festival continues under the direction of Music Director Alasdair Neale.
Full details about the 2026 season are available on the Sun Valley Music Festival website.
