Euan Shields conducts the Hallé in Sheffield a vibrant program that spans the elegance of Mozart, the vivid storytelling of Stravinsky, and the folkloric energy of Tchaikovsky.

The concert opens with Le Chant du Rossignol by Igor Stravinsky, a vivid and atmospheric work inspired by his opera The Nightingale.
 
Imogen Cooper joins as soloist for Piano Concerto No. 27 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, his final piano concerto, noted for its intimacy and expressive depth.
 
CThe program concludes with Symphony No. 2 by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, a spirited and melodic work drawing on Ukrainian folk themes.
